There is a wide variety of questions that an employer can ask you so it is vital that you know these and have pre-prepared answers for each one of the following:

• What do you know about this company?
• Tell me about yourself?
• What are long term goals or aspirations?
• What are your short term goals or aspirations?
• What are your strengths?
• What are your weaknesses?
• How would you describe your personality?
• How do think a colleague or friend would describe you?
• Describe a situation where you had to deal with a difficult colleague or customer? How did you handle the situation? What would you have done differently in hindsight?
• What subjects did you study at university that will help you in this job?
• Why did you decide to seek a job with this organization?
• How do you manage your time effectively?
• What do think you could contribute to this company?
• What university/college subjects did you like?
• What university/college subjects did you dislike?
• What were your duties in your previous job?
• How do you work under pressure?
• What things are important to you in a job?
• Would you relocate? Does relocation bother you?
• Are you prepared to travel in the future?
• What are your salary expectations?
• What are your hobbies or interests?
• Why are you leaving your present job?

These questions are just guide and will depend on what type of job you are applying for but most of them will be asked in one form or another so be prepared!! Always try to back up your answers with examples because employers like it when you do.
